uMETHOD, a precision medicine company that uses artificial intelligence and unique patient medical information to address the multiple causes of chronic diseases, recently announced an investment from The Pink Ceiling.
The company’s initial solution, the RestoreU METHOD, targets Alzheimer’s Disease. “Two-thirds of people suffering from Alzheimer’s are women and two-thirds of the caregivers are women.” says uMETHOD co-founder and CEO Vik Chandra. “As the population ages, Alzheimer’s will become an even larger women’s health issue. We’re pleased to have support from The Pink Ceiling in tackling this complex disease.”
Every 65 seconds, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, according to the American Alzheimer’s Association. Each patient has a different set of contributing factors, calling for a different combination of therapies. The RestoreU METHOD analyzes individual patient medical information to create a personalized care plan that includes FDA-approved medications, nutraceuticals, and lifestyle improvements to address all of the underlying causes.
The Pink Ceiling, founded in 2016 by successful entrepreneur Cindy Whitehead, is a cross between a strategy firm and an incubator aiming to propel female entrepreneurs or innovations designed for women specifically. The company seeds startups that solve problems of importance and interest to women.
